Ultimate Fandom Contest 2: Book Characters
The Chronicles of Narnia
Jadis, the White Witch, Queen of Narnia
A last minute entry for the competition. This is very derivative but it turned out rather pretty, and it is always fun to something so completely outside your normal style (well again, in this case since the SGA portrait is my first attempt at art nouveau).
Inspired by Mucha, Art Nouveau, Cate Blanchett's profile, pictures of real snowflakes, and `nykolai 's elegant hand reference photos. Drawn without reference to the text though, so possibly containing lots of discrepancies with the actual description.
The lines are very messy as I painted from scratch with the tablet. That way I had fun making up the composition as I went, but I can't seem to draw a clean line on the tablet
